General Terms and Conditions

Ticketing Terms & Conditions & Conditions of Entry



1. Binding Terms & Conditions

Tickets to this Event are sold or issued and admission is granted on the express condition that you agree to be bound by these Event Terms & Conditions, any Conditions of Entry, and any other rules or regulations issued by the Promoter (“Event T&Cs”).

By purchasing or using a ticket, you acknowledge that these Event T&Cs are binding.

These Terms & Conditions apply to all persons entering the Event Site, whether or not a ticket is purchased.



2. Event Tickets & Entry

Entry to the Event Site will be granted upon presentation of one of the following, issued by an authorised ticketing agent:

A valid bar-coded ticket

A valid bar-coded print-at-home PDF ticket

A valid bar-coded electronic ticket on a mobile device



3. Event Commencement & Refund Policy

If a meeting has commenced and all classes have completed at least one (1) heat, the event is deemed to have started and no refunds will be issued.

Tickets are non-refundable except where required by Australian Consumer Law.



4. Rain-Outs, Cancellations & Rescheduled Events

In the event of a rain-out or cancellation, patrons must retain their tickets.

Southern 500 Speedway will notify ticket holders of the date or event when tickets may be used next.

Failure of advertised competitors, classes, or schedules to appear does not constitute grounds for a refund.



5. ⚠️ WARNING – MOTORSPORT IS DANGEROUS

Motor sport is a dangerous recreational activity and involves inherent risks, including serious injury or death to participants and spectators.

Under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), certain guarantees may be implied into contracts for the supply of services to consumers. Where such guarantees apply, they cannot be excluded.

Subject to these statutory rights, all persons entering this venue do so at their own risk.

The owners, lessees, promoters, sponsors, participants, officials, volunteers, and all other persons involved in the event disclaim all liability for any injury, loss, or damage, including personal injury or death, arising from attendance or participation, to the maximum extent permitted by law.



6. Directions of Event Staff

You must follow all reasonable directions of Event staff, officials, and security at all times and comply with all applicable laws while at the Event Site.



7. Behaviour & Conduct

You and your invitees must behave in an orderly and respectful manner.

The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry or evict any person behaving in a disorderly, offensive, dangerous, or inappropriate manner.

Eviction due to behaviour will result in no refund.



8. Alcohol

The Event Site is fully licensed.

Alcohol must not be brought onto the Event Site. Confiscated alcohol will not be returned.

Only alcohol purchased from authorised bars may be consumed on site.

You must be 18 years or older and present valid photo ID to purchase or consume alcohol.

Supplying alcohol to a minor will result in immediate eviction and may be referred to police.



9. Drugs

Any person found supplying, possessing, or consuming illicit drugs will be removed from the Event Site and may be referred to police.



10. Animals

Animals are not permitted at the Event Site.

Registered service animals are permitted.



11. Disabled Access & Companion Entry

Disabled access is available via the Portland Gate.

Southern 500 Speedway supports the Companion Card program.

Companions accompanying a valid Companion Card holder receive free entry upon presentation of the card.



12. Pit Area Access – Speedway Australia Rules

Entry into pit or restricted areas is governed by the Speedway Australia Handbook and venue rules.

A current Speedway Australia licence (annual or one-day) is required for pit access.

All pit entrants must complete required indemnity and waiver documentation.

Age, footwear, clothing, conduct, and safety requirements apply.

Intoxicated persons will be refused entry or removed from pit areas.

Breaches may result in removal without refund.



13. Prohibited Items

Southern 500 Speedway may prohibit items including but not limited to:

Glass containers

Weapons or dangerous items

Fireworks or flares

Illegal substances

Security screening may apply.



14. Photography & Media

By entering the Event Site, you consent to being photographed or recorded for promotional or broadcast purposes without compensation.



15. Privacy

Personal information collected during ticket purchase will be handled in accordance with applicable Australian privacy laws.



16. Changes to Terms

Southern 500 Speedway reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes apply to future ticket purchases.



17. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Australian state or territory in which the Event is held.
